The story so far...

After studying art and art history and spending summers gaining experience working for the London auction houses, Alexandra was set on a career as a specialist in Asian and 20th Century art and antiques before a ‘Sliding Doors’ moment led her down a different path building a successful career in PR and marketing representing a range of clients from the worlds of finance, musical theatre and music to European royalty.

Nara Cambridge sees her return to her first love, curating a collection of classic homeware which draws on a childhood inspired by travel and her love of heritage and design.

Growing up she was surrounded by art and antiques collected by her grandmother, a farmer's daughter from Ireland, whose life took her all over the world.

Her travels included setting up homes in Egypt, Japan and later New York and California before dividing her time between London and Ireland.

Alexandra’s own travels have also strongly influenced Nara Cambridge’s style and approach. and have included extensive periods in South Carolina, USA, the Middle East, India and closer to home with family in Ireland.

This medley of influences can be clearly in Nara’s Cambridge’s homeware from the elegant table linens which draw on the laid-back elegance of the southern US states to the ceramics which have an  appreciation of traditional Asian motifs and techniques but, have been reinterpreted for today.
