Ferns can be found growing in dense stands on hillsides all along the coastal heathlands of the Suffolk, including Dunwich, the pretty seaside village which inspired this design. 
 
This is one of two naturally, striking fern motifs. Embroidered using a flat satin stitch on crisp white linen and finished with a hand-drawn, hemstitch border.
